I am the Chief Operating Officer at Mennonite Central Committee British Columbia (MCC BC), a Christian NGO where I oversee support teams (finance, HR, I.T., facilities and risk management) and social enterprises, and lead the organization’s strategic planning process. Prior to joining MCC BC I spent 25 years in the financial services sector, including in national senior leadership roles. I’ve served on non-profit, community and corporate boards, including ten years as chair of an international development agency. I currently serve on the board of a community development organization.
My wife Karen and I have attended Church of the Ascension in Langley, BC for over 15 years, where she serves on parish council and as a Sunday School teacher and I serve as a lay minister. We’re grateful for the Lord’s protection and blessing on our parish, where we have experienced love, support, equipping and fellowship. I have also served for two years on the Diocese’ Finance Committee, and for the last year on the Diocese’ risk management committee.
Psalm 127 reminds us that “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” If called I look forward to working in His service in the diocese, seeking His will and labouring for His glory.
