Prayer Calendar - February 2026
Pray with us each day this month for different leaders, congregations and ministries across our diocese and beyond.
We pray for Bishop Dan Gifford, our Diocesan Bishop and area bishop for the East, as he cares for and shepherds our clergy and congregations in the eastern half of the country and across our diocese. We also pray for his wife, Cathryn, and their family.
We pray for Bishop Mike Stewart, Suffragan Bishop and area bishop for the West, as he cares for and shepherds our clergy and congregations in the western half of the country. We pray also for his wife, Marianne, and their family.
We pray for Bishop Stephen Leung, Suffragan Bishop for our Asian and Multicultural Ministries in Canada (AMMiC), as he cares for and shepherds the clergy and congregations within AMMiC. We pray also for his wife, Nona, and their family.
We pray for our province of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), in which we are one of thirty dioceses. We pray for our Primate, Archbishop Steve Wood (and Jacqueline), for the Dean, Bishop Julian Dobbs, for the College of Bishops, the Provincial Executive Council, and the Provincial staff. We pray especially in these days for Bishop Dobbs, as he leads the Province during this difficult time and the investigation regarding Archbishop Wood. We pray for everyone involved in the investigation and for all those who have brought forward allegations of harm and misconduct. May you be their comfort and strength, and may your grace and justice prevail.
We pray for our Episcopal Fellowship of Bishops, and specifically for those retired from official responsibilities—Bishops Ron Ferris (and Jan), Grant LeMarquand (and Wendy), Charlie Masters (and Judy), Don Harvey (and Trudy), Trevor Walters (and Dede), and Malcolm Harding (and Marylou). We give thanks to God for their years of service and for the Gospel ministry they continue to support across our diocese and beyond.
We pray for church planting across the country—for our Canon for Church Planting, George Sinclair, and our Church Planting Committee, as they help direct these efforts. We pray for an abundance of funding and leaders for many future church plants. We pray especially for our newest church plant, Immanuel in Winnipeg, MB being planted by Rev. Will Gray and family.

We pray that all our congregations and ministries would be biblically grounded. This was our special focus for Synod 2025 and for the year ahead. We pray for our preachers, teachers, leaders, and members: that all we do would be grounded upon, formed by, and fuelled through the good news of Jesus Christ, passed down in Holy Scripture. We also pray today for World Mission Sunday, the annual Sunday set aside in the ACNA to especially remember our Great Commission and mission partners around the world. We pray that all our congregations and members would rightly see ourselves as on mission in this world, as ambassadors for Christ. May we see the needs of others—body, spirit, and soul—in our communities and around the world, and sacrificially give to love them well.
We pray for our efforts to proclaim the Gospel across the diocese. We pray that each of our members, young and old, would be equipped, encouraged, and commissioned as bold witnesses to the good news of Jesus. We pray that resources like The Word One to One would help equip us in this Great Commission. Learn more: dioceseofcanada.ca/bold-witnesses
We pray for our Asian & Multicultural Ministries in Canada (AMMiC), as they minister within communities of ethnic minorities and new immigrants, seeking to make disciples and plant churches. Learn more: ammic.ca
We pray for our diocesan Curacy Program, which provides support to young clergy so they can take curacy positions in some of our congregations. We pray for prospective curates, rectors to mentor them, congregations to welcome them, and the funds needed to expand this program. Learn more: dioceseofcanada/curacy-program
We pray for Packer College, our diocesan theological college, resident at the Church of the Good Samaritan in St. John’s, NL. We pray for their principal, Dr. Gary Graber, their faculty, and their growing number of students both in St. John’s and online. Learn more: packercollege.ca
We pray for our Diocesan Council, which provides governance for our diocese between synods. We pray for the five lay and five clergy members along with our diocesan bishop, that they would be blessed with wisdom and discernment.
We also pray today for Joshua Jensen being ordained to the transitional Diaconate in Calgary, AB and Dale Constable being ordained to the permanent Diaconate in Sarnia, ON.We pray for our diocesan staff, based in Burlington, Ontario, as they provide direction and administration for our diocesan finances, policies, events, and communication, and as they assist our bishops, council, and clergy.
We pray for the Anglican Relief and Development Canada (ARDFC), our diocesan relief and development ministry, and for all their projects, including their work with Bishop Darrell Critch in Madagascar. Learn more: ardfc.ca
