Youth Mission Scholarship Recipient 2025
For the past several years we have awarded a $1000 scholarship to a young person from one of our congregations pursuing mission work around the world.
This year’s Youth Mission Scholarship has been awarded to Charlotte, a grade 12 student at St. George’s Burlington. Charlotte will be doing the YWAM Mountain Venture Discipleship Training Program followed by mission work in south-east Asia for two months. Her time in south-east Asia is dedicated to Christian service in the form of house visits, evangelism, service projects, teaching, and preaching.
Charlotte says,
“I do not enjoy travelling which is why I thought that this would not be what God wanted but I feel led by Him to give myself time and new experiences so when I decide what to do about my education I am doing it knowing that I’m not just following my own will but God's. This experience will allow me to grow in my relationship with Him by studying scripture and learning how to evangelize.”
As a diocese one of our priorities is to be churches who recognize that we are here in this world on mission as ambassadors for Christ, seeking to proclaim his Gospel in word and deed. We’re grateful for everyone in our diocese, like Charlotte, who are taking steps to live out that great commission. You can learn more about our priority to be On Mission here:
