Packer College announces that the Rev. Dr. Ken Deeks will step down as Principal after a foundational term of leadership. The Board of Governors has appointed Academic Dean Dr. Gary Graber to succeed him as Principal, effective immediately.
Since assuming the role of Principal, Dr. Deeks has helped establish Packer College on a firm footing. Under his leadership, the College finalized its bylaws, secured charitable status, completed its academic curriculum, established a formal Board of Governors, and formed a degree-granting partnership with the Reformed Episcopal Seminary.
“With the foundational work now in place, I believe it is time to return my focus to the pastoral responsibilities that first called me into ministry,” said Dr. Deeks. “It has been a joy and privilege to serve Packer College during this important season of growth.”
Dr. Gary Graber brings a wealth of academic and administrative experience to his new role as Principal. As Academic Dean, he has been deeply involved in shaping the College’s curriculum and educational standards, and will continue in this role. The Board is confident in his ability to guide Packer College into the next phase of its development.
“I’m grateful for Dr. Deek’s indispensable work and leadership on behalf of the College,” said Dr. Graber. “His contributions will have a lasting and positive impact.”
The Board of Governors expresses deep gratitude to Dr. Deeks for his faithful service and looks forward to continued growth and excellence under Dr. Graber’s leadership.
