The Right Reverend Malcolm Harding

Assisting Bishop
(b. 1936 – d. 2026)

Bishop Malcolm was an influential voice and Bishop in the Anglican Church of Canada(ACoC) and recognized for his work in church renewal and his role in Anglican theological realignment. In November 2007, Bishop Malcolm joined Bishop Don Harvey in relinquishing his licence to the ACoC and receiving a licence from Archbishop Gregory Venables and the Anglican Province of the Southern Cone of South America. He was then instrumental in the forming of the Anglican Network in Canada which later became the Anglican Diocese of Canada. In June 2009, Bishop Malcolm retired as suffragan bishop.

Bishop Malcolm was ordained as a priest in 1962 and served as Bishop of Brandon from 1992-2001.
Bishop Don Harvey wrote, "Bishop Malcolm is a highly respected and gifted man of God, whose spirit of gentle humility and passion for revival is deeply appreciated by biblically faithful Canadian Anglicans.”

In addition to his theology training, Bishop Malcolm held a master's degree in social work and continued to offer counseling in Brandon on a part-time basis. After retiring from the ACoC, he served as the Ambassador for Anglican Renewal Ministries (ARM), traveling across Canada to promote renewal in the church.

Bishop Malcolm went to be with his Lord Jesus in 2026.
